From Chachapoyas it is a 1hr 15min journey by vehicle to the village of Cuispes. There are no direct collectivos running regularly to Cuispes, so visit Cuispes is very easy. It is not necesary to pay a travel agency.

Taking the collectivos up to Pedro Ruiz (10 Soles) and taking a “mototaxi“(tradicional vehicule in this area) to Cuispes (10 soles, this price is the same if you are one, two or three people).

In the main plaza of Cuispes you can buy the tickets to enter to Yumbilla waterfall (5 soles) and they contact you with the guide. From Cuispes it takes 2-2.5 hours to hike (about 6 km each way) to the base of the tallest fall.
