Description
Nederlands: De 122,3 meter hoge, volledig in baksteen opgetrokken toren beheerst de Brugse skyline. De eerste toren stort in 1163 in en wordt herbouwd tussen 1270 en 1340; de spits wordt pas in de 15de eeuw toegevoegd en in de 19de eeuw herbouwd. Daarmee is de kerk het tweede hoogste bakstenen gebouw ter wereld, na de 130,6 meter hoge Sint-Martinuskerk in Landshut.
