Notes It is believed that this painting depicts the passenger ship 'Roger Stewart'. Records indicate that it was built in Greenock in 1812. Between 1832-1836 under Captain Robert Kerr, the 'Roger Stewart' ferried emigrants from Scotland to Savannah, Quebec, Charleston and New York.
