Description
English: Sherman’s campaign hat as seen today. While the hat was in the possession of Joseph Browne Gardner, he acknowledged that his children frequently played with it and that some of the damage evident here was due to that mishandling. This was part of his motivation in donating the hat to the Massachusetts MOLLUS Museum.
