English: Rct. John A. Fiorella , a 21-year-old native of Wilmington, Del., is currently training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., in hopes of earning the title United States Marine. Fiorella, is training with Platoon 1100, Bravo Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, and is scheduled to graduate Dec. 16, 2016. “I joined because I want to devote and accomplish my goals from my childhood that I once feared,” said Fiorella, who graduated Concord High School in 2014. Approximately 19,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous training.
