Summary

Description
English: Wind pump. An icon of the American Mid West (or any other semi arid farming region). There were once 6 million of these drawing water from aquifers in the US, and they were a familiar sight in Britain too. I did not know if any were still at work until I found this one near Gullane. It is servicing a reservoir. The galvanising is wearing out but its still pumping away.
