Description
English: 1940 portrait drawing by Wolfgang Willrich (1897–1948) of W. Jacob, a soldier in the German Army during World War II: Feldwebel Jakob stietz als Spähtruppführer 23 km tief in die Magniotlinie vor. Er trägt dafür das E.K.I. Alle deutschen Stämme stehen zu gelichem Einsatz bereit. Wehrmacht propaganda pamphlet issued by the Volksdeutsches Kameradschaftsopfer der deutachen Jugend, Volksbund für das Deutschtum im Ausland (VDA) in June, 1940.

Between 1935 and the outbreak of World War II in September 1939 Willrich produced a massive amount of portraiture depicting ‘models of the German race’ that was appreciated by the Nazis. During the war Willrich made portraits of military people of Germany as Third Reich and Wehrmacht propaganda.
