| Description | The Arcade Building on the south side of Lafayette Square in downtown Buffalo, New York, as seen in its last days when it served as home to the Wonderland Theatre, which was opened in 1889 by Michael Shea as the first in his soon-to-be thriving chain of local music halls and later movie theatres. The Arcade Building was erected in 1855 and burned to the ground in 1893. Now the site of the Brisbane Building. At extreme left is seen St. Peter's French Catholic Church, on what's today the site of the Hotel Lafayette. |
