| Description | A closer view of the flag post. I'd have loved to get onto the grass, lie flat on my back and shoot looking upwards, but didn't as the weather was really worsening, and I didn't want to get caught in a tropical shower (which never came in the end) as there was nowhere to duck for cover. This may not be THE tallest flagpole in the world, but may be one of the tallest, for subsequently, the United Arab Emirates and Tajikistan have also put up claims of having the world's tallest flagpole.
