DescriptionWould you pass up the WD40 please - geograph.org.uk - 1654779.jpg |
English: Would you pass up the WD40 please This RAF Sea King helicopter has been stranded at the Borders General Hospital helipad for three days now, due to a frozen-up rotor hub. The helicopter landed on Wednesday 6th January after flying a patient in from Peebles. Another helicopter landed at Car Park 6 next to the cricket ground to airlift a seriously ill baby to a Glasgow hospital. This helicopter has made a couple of attempts to take off but they were aborted both times. A Chinook helicopter is scheduled to arrive on Sunday to airlift the Sea King away. The maintenance crew working on the helicopter were airlifted out on Friday lunchtime by another Sea King helicopter. |
