IWM caption : A torpedo maintenance Wren carries the engine of a Fleet Air Arm torpedo at Crail Fleet Air Arm Station, Scotland. FURTHER INFORMATION:

Although it weighs scarcely 100 lbs it develops more than 200 horse power and is the world's most powerful engine of its size. The Fleet Air Arm torpedoes that this engine powers at around 40 knots have accounted for more than half a million tons of Axis shipping in the Mediterranean.
