English: Illustration of Yankee Doodle, by Thomas Nast, from "Uncle Sam's panorama of Rip van Winkle and Yankee Doodle," toy manufactured by McLaughlin Bros., Inc., New York. "Eight scenes from the story of Rip van Winkle and six scenes from the story of Yankee Doodle are pasted together side by side to form a long panoramic strip. The strip is mounted on two rollers within a one-sided box; exterior cranks turn the strip." General Collection, Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut.
