Он нашел отражение в живописных и гравюрных изображениях, весьма распространенных, по-видимому, уже с XVII века. Очевидно, Карамзин руководствовался одним из таких портретов, приводя описание внешности Ермака: „Он был видом благороден, сановит, росту среднего, крепок мышцами, широк плечами; имел лицо плоское, но приятное, волосы темные, кудрявые, глаза светлые". |
