I asked the wife to pose on the sea wall and asked her to put the bloody bag away from her so it wouldn't feature in the picture. Well she stood there motionless and unsmiling while I snapped away when a bit of a breeze picked up. I know this because the last in the series she is still looking bored but has one hand holding her hat. Having finished she walked back along the wall to the bag and as she bent to pick it up so another, much stronger breeze blew with this wonderful result. It was amazing that I was ready to go when this shot presented itself. It was also amazing that her bloody bag, which has blighted so many of my pictures both before and since. finally came in useful for something.

I love this picture, not just for her knickers but for the fabulous smile that I have been trying to capture for so long. Some days are just better than others. This was a great one.

It would be nice if someone looking at this picture furtively could spare just a few seconds to comment on it as it is my favourite of all my many efforts with a camera. The wife deserves them too.
