CYPRUS RED CROSS AMBULANCE Ambulances are vital in this rescue work and subscriptions from Cyprus have helped to buy ambulances for the British Army. CYPRUS RED CROSS AMBULANCE Lifted into Red Cross ambulances, the stretcher cases are taken from the front line to a safe base hospital. The finest surgeons and doctors are in attendance there, and nurses take every care of the wounded patients. Thank you, Cyprus! Other war gifts from Cyprus include contributions to the Cyprus fighter Plane Fund, trailer canteens, a war emergency fund for Cyprus Government, subscriptions to the Red Cross and St. John Fund, Aid to Russia, Air Raid Relief, and many other war charities. This poster was scanned and released by the Imperial War Museum on the IWM Non Commercial Licence. The artwork was created by a commissioned military artist during their active service duties in the First World War. In the UK this these became controlled under the Crown Copyright provisions and so faithful reproductions may be reused under that licence, which is considered expired after 50 years.
