Čeština: Plastika "Dvojhvězda" je památníkem na českého astronoma Zdeňka Kopala. Skulpltura je z kevlarových vláken. Skuplturu vytvořili Federico Díaz a Marian Karel. Skulptura je u domu č. 1044 v Havlíčkově ulici v Litomyšli, kde stával rodný dům Zdeňka Kopala. Půdorys domu označuje světlo.
English: Sculpture "Binary star" showing two drop-like stars is a memorial to Czech astronomer Zdeněk Kopal. The sculpture is made of kevlar fibers. The sculpture was made by Federico Díaz and Marian Karel. It is next to the house number 1044 in Havlíčkova street in Litomyšl, where used to be a birtplace of Zdeněk Kopal. The outline of the house is formed by light. The original sculpture was installed on April 3, 2004 (start were on the ground). The smaller star was damaged in 2005. It was renewed in 2005 (stars were placed up). Memorial was damaged by heavy rain in 2009 (computer controlled text on the ground). The text of the memorial was renewed in 2010 (not controlled by computer; simplified with LED lighting). |
