Countries edit

I suggest include a list of the countries, in the description page (or other type of image, so if I click on the countre, I can see the name of the country or go to the Wikipedia page about the country). --147.84.132.44 14:40, 15 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I've put a link in for w:Member_states_of_the_Arab_League, because I think putting links to all the members on the image page detracts from the presentation of the image. Image maps don't work for images on wikipedia (except through templates), because the SVG file is converted to a PNG file for display. Gringer (talk) 12:13, 20 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Western Sahara/Somali edit

Why Western Sahara is blue? It isn't less Arabic than Morocco. And why Somali isn't blue. There's few Arab there. 83.22.134.40 21:39, 21 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

w:Member_states_of_the_Arab_League Includes Somalia, but does not include Western Sahara. Gringer (talk) 22:32, 21 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
Western Sahara is totally Arabic. Sahrawis speak Arabic, Sahrawi state is called Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic. It is not in the Arab League because Morocco does not let it enter, because they claim Western Sahara (Morocco, which controls a big part of the Western Sahara, is in the Arab League).--Espanish AlB (talk) 23:43, 21 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

New color for Libya edit

With this map change, what does the color of Morocco and Algeria mean? 77.163.109.69 21:46, 25 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Code couleur edit

Government overthrown -> Black/Noir Significant government change -> Blue Open revolt -> some like Chestnut Major protests -> Orange Minor protests -> yellow Without incident -> grey

Open revolt -> Black Government overthrown -> Red Significant government change -> Orange dark Major protests -> orange Minor protests -> yellow Without incident -> grey

Algeria edit

As of 23rd of Feb, no Government overthrow ! --olevy (talk) 13:49, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Western Sahara conflict edit

Why doesn't the map show neutrality concerning the Western Sahara conflict? It's not supposed to present it as a totally independant state... I suggest following the example of this orthographic projection. --Hydronic (talk) 17:11, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Chad edit

  • Chad is highly concerned in the conflict, it has sent military troups and mercenaries to Libya to help Khadafi fight against its people. Idriss is now a terrorist too.
  • Sudan is also concerned but should be split on the map with a dotted line, between North and South (the government Southern part is clearly opposed to Khadafi, but Khartoum cooperates with Chad and supports intervention in South Libya, and already threatens the liberated South Cyrenaica).
