Armed forces flags edit

I have seen a photograph from the Turkmen military parade of October 2011. One of the flying helicopters appeared to fly the Turkmen state flag under it, as well as the flags of the 3 branches of armed forces. From top to bottom the flags appear to be that of the State, Air Force[It bears great resemblance to the flag of the Russian Air Force (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/72/Flag_of_the_Air_Force_of_the_Russian_Federation.svg)], Land Force and Navy respectively[It bears resemblance to the flag of the Azeri navy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Naval_Flag_of_Azerbaijan.svg). Could someone make these? The photograph is at http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6233/6316350756_ba93a4c071_o.jpg. Thanks in advance to any future contributors. User:Dutchbag1402 18:57 17 June 2012.

I see User:Fry1989 has uploaded the naval and military flags today (File:Flag of the Turkmenistan Ground Forces.svg and File:Flag of the Turkmenistan Naval Forces.svg). I just uploaded the air force one at File:Turkmenistan Air Force Flag.svg. SiBr4 (talk) 08:57, 18 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Orientation of the stars edit

The white stars in the current version are all pointing upwards, but I believe they should be pointing away from the centre of the crescent instead. Also the positioning seems slightly wrong This document has more information on page 4. Sam Hocevar (talk) 06:40, 9 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Version with code reduction edit

{{Edit request}} Because the file size is so large, I ended up making a version with code reduction. File:Flag of Turkmenistan (code reduction).svg is the file with code reduction. VexilAlpaca (talk) 23:06, 27 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Oppose. I am supportive of various forms of code reduction, but I am a strong advocate for keeping linefeed and tab characters because they make the code readable by humans. MapGrid (talk) 01:12, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
  Not done per above. —‍Mdaniels5757 (talk • contribs) 19:25, 20 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Precise measurement of the patterns edit

I was using this SVG as a reference for drawing the Turkmenistan flag on paper. I noticed that the top carpet pattern (measured from the tips of those triangular yellow ornaments on the sides) seems to be about 3% shorter then the other four. Is this a mistake, or is the flag supposed to have that difference? 68.0.59.20 22:42, 28 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
