File talk:Git icon.svg

License issue edit

Currently, the file info states that the icons are licensed under GPL. However, this doesn't seem to be true for neither of the two different icons in the file history.

  • The first (older) icon has a reference that says that it comes from the OpenIconLibrary. Looking at the project, the icons seem to be licensed under CC-BY-SA 3.0 there (see bottom of the linked page).
  • The second (younger) icon has a reference that says it comes from the Git SCM Logo page. There, the logos are licensed under CC-BY 3.0.

Please note the different licenses of the two versions (with/without SA). Regards, --CyRoXX (?) 11:36, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
