Flipped

There are two similar images of J. C. Bach by Gainsborough on Commons:

• 
  This one (1776, 755 x 620 mm), purchased by the NPG, London, in 1983; apparently a second version of the Bologna painting.
• 
  from Bologna (1776, 76 x 62 cm) "Una copia del ritratto è conservata nella collezione di Lord Hillingdon." (A copy of the portrait is preserved in the collection of Lord Hillingdon.)

Is it conceivable that Gainsborough painted a flipped version? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 10:20, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

This was resolved in February 2016 when File:Johann Christian Bach.jpeg (on the right) was flipped back. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 12:28, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
