Probably counterfeit edit

    これはおそらく偽造品です。

    Вероятно это подделка.

Sorry but I am not good at writing in English, but I should write. I am an editor in jawp. My main edits on Eastern Orthodoxy. My mother language is Japanese.

This file (Kirishitan Crucifix MEP) is used in many WP. But the academic world in Japan, and researchers in church, regard it a counterfeit (many made).

See grounds below. Only written in Japanese, but images of completely same crucifix can be seen in this page.

歴史のなかの嘘 -隠れキリシタン十字架調査顛末記 富山県博物館協会("A lie in the history - reports on Kirishitan Crucifix, by Toyama Museum Association")

Tihs file (Kirishitan Crucifix MEP.jpg) is written "Photographed at Missions Etrangeres de Paris."

But in this website (歴史のなかの嘘 -隠れキリシタン十字架調査顛末記 富山県博物館協会), completely same two crucifix can be seen.

After a man told these same crucifix, researcher in Toyoma Museum (麻柄一志) who wrote this reports had doubts about this situation. Why many such crucifix can be seen in many place in Japan?

He wrote; This Curcifix likes new Gothic style (19c). The Kirishitan cannot have such an obvious cross under the persecution. We cannot say it is Kirishitan's.

Before long, he found that the other researchers had already found out the fact that these are souvenirs for non-Japanese people made in Nagoya, from about 1945 - 1950! (Already known who, when, where, made)

Researcher in Toyoma Museum apologized for exhibiting this crucifix with false information in Toyama Museum, and correct a mistake. Also he wrote that this crucifix is put into a warehouse.

This image should not be used (or only an example of counterfeit).--Kinno Angel (talk) 09:32, 21 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
