Crimea should be red-striped. --Excolis (talk) 14:10, 21 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please be patient. The de-facto will be depicted soon. But let's wait till the dust has settled and the we have a clear view on all border issues concerning this map. --TUBS 15:57, 21 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
I think now it's time. --Excolis (talk) 14:10, 31 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
Done. Plz check out all-new alternative maps at Category:SVG locator maps of Russia (location map scheme). --TUBS 11:59, 2 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much. --Excolis (talk) 09:39, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
I know it's difficult, but the Kuril Islands are also disputed. Do you think it would be possible to mark them in similar way as Crimea? --Excolis (talk) 13:58, 7 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
<german>Wir könnten übrigens auch deutsch reden, egal</german> It ain't that difficult and it does make sense. However, there won't be much to see, 'cause these little islands are wicked small while Russia is so gigantic. I tried that in the past and results were disappointing. So I didn't try it again in the aftermath of the conflict on Crimea. I tried to show this issue for maps in Category:SVG locator maps of Japan (location map scheme) though. To be honest, even there I find time invested for alternative versions to be rather pointless. So you really need local maps to depict this very issue. --TUBS 15:56, 7 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
