Renaming without discussion edit
@Derkoenig, @Richardkiwi, in a kind of surprise attack you just renamed several of my pictures, changing the name suffix from “jpeg” to “jpg.” The given reason was “Criterion 4 (harmonizing names of file set).” No discussion took place preceding the name change.
The objective of “Criterion 4” is “to harmonize the names of a set of images so that only one part of all names differs.” So what is the “set of images” concerned here? “Trudering, Bahnhof, Gedenkstein, [145].jpg” all shared the suffix “jpeg,” and now they share the suffix “jpg.” Certainly you don't want to define all the zillions of JPEG images as one single set? If so, please read the footnote of criterion 4. None of the two scenarios given there applies to the present case.

- Hi, I renamed it because of this: "Trudering, Bahnhof ,Gedenkstein," (a space after Bahnhof). Because I thought Derkoenig was the uploader, I just renamed it. So that was wrong. (I didn't look good enough) It sometimes happens that filemovers don't see something, so it can happen. If you want it to renamed back, let me know, below here. - For me file moving is more intensive than for an average file mover. That's no excuse, I have to look better than other people, but sometimes I forget that my eyesight is different (to me it looks normal). 99% it goes well. - Richardkiwi (talk) (talk) 13:15, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks, @Richardkiwi, I didn't notice the wrong space and just looked at the suffix. I guess I was misled by the “criterion 4” reason.
