Hanging Rock

English: The Hanging Rock is a rock formation in the state of Victoria, Australia. It is located approximately seventy kilometres north-west of Melbourne. It is geologically unusual because it is made of a rare volcanic rock called Solvsbergite. It has also had a great impact on the arts in Australia because it was the inspiration for the novel Picnic At Hanging Rock and the film of the same name.
