English: Juan de Espinosa was a Spanish still-life painter. Documents about this artist date from 1645 to 1677 (According to other sources from 1628-1659). Following the lead of Juan Fernandez El Labrador, Juan de Espinosa earned a reputation as a specialist in still-life paintings with grapes. He belonged to the same generation as Antonio Ponce. The inventive master was well known for the wide variety of types of picture. Another Spanish Baroque era painter was Juan Bautista de Espinosa (ca. 1590-1641). The documents about him sometimes use the short form Juan de Espinosa and can therefore be misleading.
