This form is only for uploading work found from a government source. To upload work created by someone else, please use a different form. Some countries have laws that state that certain works created by government employees for public use are ineligible for copyright, and therefore in the public domain. Images on government or government agency websites are not necessarily public domain; always look for copyright notices. Countries: United States: A work by the US federal government is in the public domain. This does not include the state governments. They have their own laws about this. When uploading a government work, always link to the source webpage or explain how you found and identified the work. If works cannot be confirmed as created by the government, they will likely be deleted.
