כדי להעלות תמונות לוויקישיתוף:

• השתמשו בשם קובץ תיאורי ותמציתי, לדוגמה aris Eiffel Tower 2004-03-11.jpeg ולא IMG_000192376.jpeg. תוכל לערוך את שדה "שמור קובץ בשם" בלי צורך לשנות את שם הקובץ במחשבך. שים לב שלא תוכל לשנות את שם הקובץ לאחר שהקובץ הועלה.
• ספקו מידע מפורט בשדה התקציר, כולל נושא הקובץ ומקורו. למידע נוסף ראו דף הסבר (באנגלית).
• בחרו רישיון מתאים בתיבת הרישיון או הוסיפו את תג הרישיון המתאים בתקציר.

Request denied. I think it is important the all languages retain the same look and feel. This makes translation far easier and makes the Wikimedia Commons look more professional. Lcarsdata 20:43, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

I think otherwise. Most (if not all) Hebrew users are he.wiki users and this code is similar to the upload form on he.wiki. It is important that the Hebrew users will have a easy, good-looking, familiar form. I don't see how this makes translation much easier, - I did the translation myself. This form does look proffesional enough, I think that the other languages should follow suit. PS I would appriciate not removing the editprotected tag until this discussion is over. I have already translated the page. I used the layout that is used in he.wiki as most (if not all) Hebrew users are users of he.wiki, and thus are more familiar with this layout. I don't see any point in have a similar format to that of the English one, I think that the layout should be the most convenient one. I am still waiting for a sysop to instert my code. I must note that Yonatanh has reverted my code and will not change it back (he wrote "why downgrade the upload form?" but you all cannot see that my code is a definite upgrade), even though the current translation looks all messed up in IE. I feel like he is using his sysop tools to force his opinion on this matter. Yonidebest Ω Talk 18:45, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Please note that this is not the Hebrew Wikipedia, the Wikimedia Commons has its own rules and policies. More importantly we only accept freely licensed images, I think (and many others would agree) it is important to make a clear distinction between uploading to the Commons and uploading to Local wikis. I doubt any admin will implement your translation until you follow the current working copies in other languages. Thanks. Lcarsdata 20:34, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Please refer me to the rule and policy that disallows my above code. Otherwise, don't lecture me about the diffs between he.wiki and commons. I asked a legitimate request, and there is no reason not to remove the current messed-up code and replace it with something that is better. Also, the above code states quite clearly that only free images should be uploaded, I don't know why you tried to imply otherwise. I don't know why I have to argue over this. Would you allow such messed-up code in the English upload form? Seriously. I have uploaded a screener to show you all the problems with the current page (none of them accur in my above code):

Yellow - the bullets overlap the information template code.

Red - the external link icon overlaps the link text.

Blue - the links are italic - Hebrew must not be italic.

Green - the right side of the text is hidden (it was like this also before Yonatanh (which seems to be doing whatever he feels, except fixing all these problems) made his last edit).

Purple question mark - Where is the image you are all talking about?

Now, can someone already insert my much better code alreay?! I don't see why I need to present my case like this when the alternative is rubbish. This is insulting. Yonidebest Ω Talk 10:00, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

I have fixed the following problems you have listed: bullets overlapping, external link icon overlapping and italic hebrew. The image is not displayed in IE but is in Firefox (not sure why) and I don't know why the text is overlapping. I will try to fix them problems as soon as possible. When userlang=he a script (in monobook.js/he) change the direction to be RTL. Due to this, the list go to right side, in the same place as the image. Please change the image to be float left intead of float right. Thanks, Eran 20:33, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
