Ossian
poetic work by James Macpherson based on Scottish folk tales
English: Ossian is the narrator and supposed author of a cycle of poems by James Macpherson, which he claimed to have translated from ancient sources in the Scots Gaelic. He is based on Oisín, son of Fionn mac Cumhail, a poet and warrior of the fianna in the Fenian Cycle of Irish mythology
