User:Tjlynnjr discovered this anchor was mis-identified in May 2014. Confirmed this anchors correct identity with Mr. Eric Ruel, Curator at the Museum of Royal Military College Saint Jean in May 2014. User:Victoriaedwards was informed. See both Users talk pages here at Wikimedia Commons.

Correct identity is: Anchor of HMCS Bonaventure (CVL 22) @ Royal Military College Saint Jean, Saint Jean sur Richelieu, Quebec, Canada. HMCS Bonaventure (CVL 22) was a Majestic class aircraft carrier. She served in the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Forces Maritime Command from 1957 to 1970 and was the third and the last aircraft carrier to serve Canada. The anchor depicted is the starboard anchor of "The Bonnie" and is located by the Maisonneuve building. Ready Aye Ready Tjlynnjr (talk) 06:50, 22 May 2014 (UTC) .Reply
