- Use this template to add a reference to a species on the web site AlgaeBase.
- Note: This template can be used in conjunction with {{Taxoconflict}} and {{Subspecies}} with parameter "source=AlgaeBASE" (See here the different values for source)
- For a rank higher than family, please use {{AlgaeBASE taxon}}.
- For a genus, please use {{AlgaeBASE genus}}.

- the binomial name of the species.

- author (optional)
- The name of the author

- validity (optional)
- If the taxon is considered as unaccepted or synonym by AlgaeBASE, add nv.
