Template that can be used to create other templates that provides a short standardized description of the series to which an artwork belongs (see category:Art series templates)

Usage

Template parameters

Parameter	Description	Default	Status
`name`	name of the series	empty	required
`description`	any useful comment related to the series or the number (appears between brackets)	empty	optional
`number`	number of the plate (if relevant)	empty	optional
`number comment`	can be added to templates for info that relate to the numbering system (see for instance {{36 Views of Mount Fuji}})	empty	optional
`homecat`	name of the corresponding cat (for maintenance stuff	empty	required
`linkback`	should be set to Template:<name of the template> (for maintenance stuff)	empty	required
