 The Frauenkirche is a church in the Bavarian city of Munich that serves as the cathedral of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising and seat of its Archbishop. It is a landmark and is considered a symbol of the Bavarian capital city. Although offically called "Münchner Dom" (Munich Cathedral), the church is always referred to as "Frauenkirche" by locals. The church towers are widely visible because of local height limits. The south tower which is normally open to those wishing to climb the stairs, will, on completion of its current renovation, offer a unique view of Munich and the nearby Alps. Change image |

English : Georg-Brauchle-Ring is an U-Bahn station in Munich on the U1. It is located below the Georg-Brauchle-Ring, part of Munich's "Mittlerer Ring" ring road system. It opened on 18 October 2003. Artist Franz Ackermann produced two coloured walls for the station entitled "The Great Journey" and consisting of 400 panels. Each wall weighs 30 tons.
