Template talk:Chess tiles brown
Chess tile for making chess boards in a brown colour like the Danish Wikipedia. See da:Wikipedia:Skak-diagrammer and da:Skak for an example of the board.
The tiles are meant for use with Template:Chess pos2. Information on insertion in articles and modification of colours, border, thumbs, surrounding text etc. is given on the talk page of that template: Template talk:Chess pos2.
The image was made using the pictures from Template:Chess tiles and the remarks on that page are valid for this page too. In addition, the background colour was changed to brown using the OSS GIMP software.
The naming of the tiles is as follows: chs2_xyz40.png where
- x is the first letter of the piece (k for king, q for queen etc.)
- y is l or d according as the piece is a white (light) piece or a black (dark) piece
- z is l or d according as the piece stands on a light square or a dark square
chs2_l40.png and chs2_d40.png are empty light and dark squares respectively.
chess_xl40.png and chess_xd40.png are empty light and dark squares with X's. They can be used in chess diagrams by inserting an x on the proper field.
