This redirect should be deleted or changed to "no license since" since people are uploading with this deprecated license without anybody noticing it. --Cwbm (commons) (talk) 13:11, 29 January 2011 (UTC)

It redirects to {{PD}} where the user who transcludes it will be able to read that the template is deprecated, as well information on other templates. That message is needed since using "no license" will confuse them. Leaving a red link will too, and they will not see the other available templates that {{PD}} lists. --ZooFari 00:05, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

The point is that there are no files that use this template that were uploaded before the cutoff date. So all the files that carry this redirect have to be deleted anyway. So what this redirect does is it provides a loop hole to upload copyright violations. That should be stopped. --Cwbm (commons) (talk) 20:03, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

It doesnt matter if people use this template or {{PD}} directly, therefore deleting this redirect will not change something. Redirecting to {{No license since}} will not work because this tag must be substituted. If not the file will end up in Category:Media without a license as of unknown date and we got another backlog - without disallowing new uploads with {{PD}} that people can still use. I agree with ZooFari, --Martin H. (talk) 01:56, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

This is patently absurd: Category:License redirects to speedy deletion. And it does matter. Because Nickbot picks up on {{PD}} but not on {{Public domain}}. --Cwbm (commons) (talk) 10:56, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

I have requested to fix the problem with Nikbot.--Trixt (talk) 21:58, 6 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
Given the above, there's nothing to do here. – Adrignola talk 19:38, 26 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please add…
{{speedy|unused redirect to deprecated license tag.}}

…or rather just delete it as unused. Be..anyone (talk) 10:10, 6 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Marking as   Done since this is now a redirect. INeverCry 06:10, 30 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
