This is an attempt to clarify myself about the use of articles and categories in commons. But I hope it will useful as a ¿short? explanation and a guide or "howto" for others.

I'm working mainly in "places" images. Because most of my images are locations and people from my travels around the World. I classify pictures for that proposes, but I think it can be extrapolated to every use of articles and categories.

Introduction

Images (sounds, videos...) are incorporated to Commons as a big bunch of files where others can take later. Among that thousand files, find the image we search for can be a hard deal if no facilities are given. So we proceed to classify images to make it easy.
