Can you spot the airbrushing?

The name Nephron comes from the structural unit of the kidney.

I've been around here since mid-2008. I have over 2000 image uploads. Most of them are original works, pathology-related and with my Rebel XSi. Generally, my images are post-processed with GIMP to white balance and de-vignette.

If you want to contact me post the message here.

A selection of my images can be found in my favourites gallery. A gallery of my uploads can be found here.

Why?

“Imagine a world in which every single person on the planet is given free access to the sum of all human knowledge. That’s what we’re doing.” - Jimbo Wales in a Slashdot interview.

Use of the images I have uploaded

I am flattered if you find an image I have uploaded good enough for whatever use you have in mind. There is no need to ask me permission for use of any particular image(s); however, you must respect the applicable (copyleft) license(s) associated with the image(s). Generally, I do not release images into the public domain or make images for non-free use.

A proper attribution should include the copyright date (based on the File history), my pseudonym (Nephron), and the full text of one of the licences. If the image is used online, a link to the full text of the licence is acceptable and I ask that you link to this page, for example:

Copyright © 2011 Nephron.

Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify this image under the terms of the
GNU Free Documentation License Version 1.2 ( http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html )

or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation.

I am happy to receive feedback.
