初めまして。LERKと申します。画像のアップロードについて、ご相談があります。まもさんがアップロードされる際に、ライセンスを{{PD-user}}になさっていますが、まもさんが上書きアップロードされる前の画像データがそれ以外の場合（例えば、私がアップロードした画像データの場合は{{Cc-by-sa-2.5}}などになっています）ですと、問題が生じる可能性もあります。ご自身の作成された画像データを上書きされるのでしたら特に問題はないだろうと考えますが、上書きされる前のデータの所有者がPD（パブリックドメイン）を嫌っていたりPDでの提供を望まないなどの主張をした場合に、問題が発生する可能性も否定できません。その場合は、別のファイルとしてアップロードされるのが無難かと思います。もしご不明な点やご質問がありましたら、私のノートページに日本語でお尋ねください。それでは、これからよろしくお願いいたします。

付け足しという形で失礼します。よりよい画像のご提供に関して、異議はなくむしろ積極的に行っていただきたいとは思うのですが、他者の提供したファイルを上書きするのは、次のような場合を除いて、望ましくないときもありえます。
  • 元画像を加工して再アップロードした場合（明るさ調整、角度調整、解像度調整など）
  • ソースがほぼ同一（撮影地が一緒、など）で、誰が撮ってもほぼ同じ結果・構図になる場合
  • 上書きされる前のデータが提供しているライセンスを踏襲していること（権利関係が複雑にならないようにするため）
  • 上書きされる前のデータの提供者が、上書きされることに同意している場合
特に問題となりうるのは、3番と4番でしょうか。
ある同名のファイルにある履歴で、ある人が撮った写真はGFDLだが別のある人が撮ったものはクリエイティブ・コモンズ、というのが重複していると、そのデータをウィキメディア・プロジェクト外で使用しようとしている人が、どのライセンスを参照すべきか迷ったり、ライセンスを間違えて解釈してしまう、というミスも起こりえます。
ご存知だとは思いますが、ウィキメディア・プロジェクトに投稿された文章やデータ、画像は、基本的にはウィキメディア・プロジェクト外での使用や商用利用を許可しています（ただし、フェアユース画像（コモンズでは使用できません）とウィキメディア財団が著作権を保有しているものは除きます）。
4番は、権利関係云々よりも、提供者のプライドや面子、といったところでしょうか…。
日本語版ウィキペディアでも、画像データを上書き・差し替えされたことに抗議し、議論に発展したことがあります。ウィキの構造上、画像データの上書きや差し替えは禁止されておらず禁止できないものではありますが、やはり人間は「自分が一番最高！」と考えがちです。明らかに「上手でない」といえるような画像でも、自分がアップロードしたことに誇り（？）を感じている人もいる（お恥ずかしい話ですが、私も下手なくせにそんな一人だったりします…）ので、不毛な論争を避けるためという発想からだ、と考えていただければと愚考いたします。
長々と失礼いたしました。

こんにちは。恐れ入りますが、ファイル名には全角スペースではなく半角スペースをご利用くださるようお願いいたします。半角アンダーバーでも同様に半角スペースとなります。

お世話様です。さて、Image:ＪRE-205-0 EMU-MusashinoLine.jpgとImage:ＪRE-205-0 EMU-NanbuLine.jpgですが、双方共に最初の"J"が全角になっています。お手数ですが、半角に直した上での再アップロードをお願いできませんか？

カテゴリの扱いについて edit

はじめまして。今回、まもさんが紀州鉄道に関係するいくつかのカテゴリを編集されているのを拝見してこちらに参りました。まず、Category:Stations of Kishu RailwayとCategory:Kishu Railway Line（Nishi-Gobō-Hidakagawa）を白紙化されたことに関してですが、カテゴリ名を変更したい場合は既存のカテゴリをいきなり白紙化するのではなく、まず {{Move}} を貼って改名を提案してください。既存カテゴリの名前が明らかにおかしい場合も、白紙化ではなく {{Category redirect}} を貼ってください。詳細は Commons:Rename a category にあります。また、まもさんが新たに作成されたCategory:Kishu Railway Line（Nishi-Gobō - Hidakagawa）は、括弧の部分が全角文字になっています。カテゴリ名には原則として英語を使うことになっています（Commons:カテゴリ名の付け方）ので、お気をつけください。なお、紀州鉄道線の廃線部分のみのカテゴリを作成すること自体も、個人的には望ましいこととはあまり考えておりません。これについては、以前に天然ガスさんの会話ページで述べていますので、ぜひご一読いただければと思います。そのうえで、まもさんご自身のお考えがあればこちらにお返事いただければ幸いです。よろしくお願いします。Yasu (talk) 14:56, 28 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

ご指摘ありがとうございます。カテゴリ関係で自分が無知だったようで失礼しました。カテゴリの改名について勘違いしていたようです。教えて頂きましてありがとうございます。括弧の部分が全角文字の件はミスですね。気を付けます。廃線部分のみのカテゴリに関しては、確かにあちらこちらとやったら、複雑になり過ぎますから作成しないのが一番ですね。
天然ガスさん作成のカテゴリについて、拝見しました。う～ん、悩ましい問題ですね。天然ガスさんの考えも分かりますが、カテゴリが細か過ぎても分かりづらくなってしまうでしょうし・・・。Yasuさんの「ウィキペディアの記事とコモンズのカテゴリは1対1で対応する」という考えは確かにいいと思います。個人的にはWikipediaのcommonsタグ貼付けを心がけています。

お返事ありがとうございました。少し補足しますと、{{Move|カテゴリの改名先|改名の理由}} を貼って2週間のうちに反対意見が出なければ、新たなカテゴリを作成した上で {{Category redirect|リダイレクト先（新たなカテゴリ名）}} に貼り変えることができます。貼り変えてある程度時間が経つと、元のカテゴリ内にあったファイル・サブカテゴリなどが新しいカテゴリへ移動されます。その上で、カテゴリ名に明らかな誤字があるなど元のカテゴリを残しておく必要がない場合は、{{Speedydelete|理由}} を貼って即時削除依頼することも可能ですので、ご参考まで。Yasu (talk) 14:58, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

 

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
