Hallo Herr Lanzet,

ich bin Gründer und Betreiber der Internet-Seite http://computerarchiv-muenchen.de , auf welcher mit Bilder & Fakten die Entwicklung der Computer sowie der Fortschritt des digitalen Informationsmanagements veranschaulicht wird.

Sehr gerne würde ich die Entwicklung der Intel PC-Prozessoren mit Ihren wundervollen Bildern in den Vintage- & Retro-Galerien mit auf nehmen.

Vielleicht ist es dafür ja auch möglich, mir z.B. eine ZIP-Datei über Drop-Box o.ä. mit den Bilder zur Verfügung zu stellen, was mir die Arbeit erheblich erleichtern würde.

Um eine kurze Mitteilung bin ich sehr dankbar und freue mich auf Ihre freundliche Genehmigung.

hallo,

ich denke die grafik ist falsch, der buffer ist teil der tcp-software. darüber muss man sich bei der programmierung keine gedanken machen, man schreibt einfach auf den socket. das buffer-handling macht der stack. File:Tcp soft.svg --87.106.2.16 16:39, 10 February 2011 (UTC)

Hallo Appoloosa, Ich bin dabei einen Superhetempfänger zu entwickeln, um die Plannung zu unterstützen sind die Blockschaltbilder sehr nützlich. Kanst du mir sagen mit was für einer Software(openofice draw?) du die Blockschaltpläne im Wiki-Artikel Überlagerungsempfänger gemacht hast, da diese mir sehr gut gefallen? mfg Josef Vukovic

Thanks a lot for the Intel 8085 microprocessor design you uploaded. It has been very useful to me. From where did you get the design? Do you have any more design material for the Intel 8085 microprocessor? It would be great if you could give me a good spec to me with clear diagrams and text.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Dear Appaloosa,

I have a problem with this file. These are of course leaves of a Colchicum sp., but for sure not of Colchicum autumnale. The leaves of Colchicum autumnale are much narrower (see eg. File:Colchicum automnale1.jpg).

The leaves of File:Blaetter herbstzeitlose.jpg -the picture is clearly taken in a garden- are presumably of the frequently cultivated Colchicum byzantinum (often sold under the incorrect name Colchicum autumnale 'Major'). A further argument: Colchicum byzantinum is a sterile taxon. You do not not see any seedpod among the leaves on this picture.

I have several Colchicum species in my garden including Colchicum byzantinum and the true Colchicum autumnale. I have uploaded several pictures of Colchicum autumnale, which is thriving as a wild plant in my garden. Next spring I will take pictures of its leaves and upload them on Commons. I will also take pictures of the leaves of Colchicum byzantinum, as I did in the past for other species as C. speciosum and C. montanum.

The problem in the meantime is that File:Blaetter herbstzeitlose.jpg is used in several wikipedia pages as illustration of the leaves of Colchicum autumnale. How do we solve this issue? Let me know it.

It is fabulous that you have posted this picture, I am really grateful because my grandmother's parents and grandparents lived here between 1896 and 1905. However, I have checked your caption and must report the following:

According to the following website's page on Ross Platz: http://www.leipzig-lexikon.de/STRASSEN/01004.HTM, No.8 was called Zum Kurprinz.

I have also checked the building against two other photos which show what I thought was No.8, and it is the same building. Therefre the text: Portal des Kurprinzen am Königsplatz is a mistake. It should say: Portal des Kurprinzen am Rossplatz. I am happy to forward the photos/postcard I refer to.

Meanwhile the owner of leipzig-lexikon.de confirms my observation. Please consider updating the caption so that other users won't be misled. Once again, I am extremely grateful for this picture, as I am writing a book on my family's history.

Please use the correct date format

Thank you for your contributions to Commons. I noticed you mentioned a date on File:AHW Rudertrainingsanlage Rudergesellschaft Wiking Leipzig 1923-1.jpg. Please know that in order for dates to be automatically detected and translated into other languages it needs to be in the YYYY-MM-DD format (ie. 2024-01 for January 2024 or 2024-04-16 for 16 April 2024). Also, for other (less specific) dates use {{Other date}} for centuries, ranges, 'circa' etc. like this: {{other date|between|1899|1903}} for "between 1899 and 1903

Anti-Moschee-Flyer

Hallo Appaloosa,
Dein Bild vom Gohliser Schlösschen (Gohliser_Schloesschen_Leipzig_3.jpg) wird mit "Quelle: Wikipedia" auf einem Flyer der "Bürgerinitiative gegen den Moscheebau" verwendet. Mit so witzigen Argumenten wie "Durch unterschiedliche Glaubensauffassungen der Ahmadiyya-Gemeinde und der Al-Rahman-Gemeinde, die in unmittelbarer Nähe ein Moschee betreibt, droht ein Glaubenskrieg mitten in Gohlis".

Bild Westseite Markt Leipzig um 1890

Hallo,

war sehr froh, dass ich dieses Bild heute gefunden habe. Aber die Datierung um 1890 kann nicht stimmen. Auf dem Bild selbst sieht man, dass ein Stand vom Oktober 1912 ausgegeben wird, welche Geschäfte sich bereits im 1912/1913 neu erbauten König-Albert-Haus eingemietet haben. Und es sind überall Hinweisschilder, wo die Geschäfte nun zu finden sind, die wegen Abriss des Hauses aus dem Gebäude gewichen sind. Das Foto ist höchstwahrscheinlich von 1912. Im Dateinamen des Bildes sollte ebenfalls noch eine Korrektur vorgenommen werden (...um-1890 ersetzen).

Ich habe das Bild verwendet für einen Bildvergleich zwischen 1912 und 2015
