Thank you for voting in my RfA. I do agree to your comments and it was mainly becuse I don't trust my english writing skills that I did apply now, I didn't wannt to do a lot of machine-like editing just to get a bunch of editcount. What I'm good at and willing to do is to revive diffrent forms of delitions (even if I belive my writing in english is en-2 do I belive my understandning is en-4). But I realise that I scholud have showed that I actualy also is able to write and be good att that sort of metawork to, becuse in the things I like to do much communication is also need to be done. I would intend to show this if I don't onlyckly is going away for the next 5 days. But thank you for your reply and what I have learnt from it. /Grön 06:29, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

My point were that you need to spend more on Commons time before becoming admin. Deletion on Commons is different then deletion on local project because it affects all other projects. For example we have not very good relations with Dutch Wikipedia due admins who forced replacement PNG images with SVG versions. So you just need time to understand all implications. Again it's question of communication.

Sure, mechanical increasing edit count doesn't improve things too much. But reviewig User:Orgullobot/Welcome log is important - you could prevent many deletions on early stage.

In any case, I respect opinion of User:Thuresson.

Hello. Congratulations. You are now a Wikimedia Commons administrator and you now can place {{user admin}} on your user page. That makes it PD. It doesnt give you the right to license it under any of those licensens. /Grön

In fact it does! If a work is in the public domain, you can to the picture whatever you want, so you can release derived work under other licenses, as well. (This does not apply to a picture which is licensed CC-By-SA or GFDL, though.) In this case however I doubt that the modifications are eligable to be copyrighted. --Matt314 16:14, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

I realize that Image:CA blank wide.svg was a duplicate of Image:California blank wide.svg, but the image was still in use on many California State Route ____ articles on Wikipedia. Please be sure to check that it is orphaned first before deleting this duplicate, as many of the articles worked on by w:WP:CASH now have redlinks in place of the images. --Geopgeop 04:13, 28 June 2006 (UTC)

Undelete an image

Thanks for uploading Image:Thales2.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikimedia Commons (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag, then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{Cc-by-sa-2.5}} to release it under the Creative Commons or {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find all your uploads using the Gallery tool. Thank you.
