Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

• czy jest czy go nie ma w hasle o katastrofie to nie moja broszka. A skoro jestes autorem, zeby nie bylo watpliwosci kasuje teraz obecna wersje (link ten co w temacie tej wiadomosci), a ty dokladnie w to miejsce wgraj swoja kopie, odpowiednio ja oznacz, nadaj licencje etc. Wtedy nie bedzie problemu, ze ktos przesyla twoje fotki za ciebie. Zdjęcia z Powązek

Witaj. Zauważyłem, że dodałeś sporo zdjęć z Powązek. Wybierasz się tam w najbliższym czasie? Może dałbyś radę zrobić zdjęcie grobu Aleksandra Sewruka (ma hasło na Wikipedii bez żadnej fotografii). Znalazłem stronę [1], gdzie podają namiary na miejsce spoczynku. Fajnie by chyba było uzupełnić hasło, a ja niestety do stolicy się nie wybieram. Pozdrawiam i liczę na odpowiedź! Jacek z Elbąga

Fotografie nagrobków

Zapowiadałeś tydzień temu że lada chwila załadujesz nowe grafiki m.in. grobu Łazarkiewicza. Do tej pory nie ma od Ciebie odpowiedzi ! Co się stało ? Coś stanęło na przeszkodzie ? Jesteś zajęty ? Hej. Przejrzałem Twoje zdjęcia z nagrobkami od File:Halina Rudnicka grób.JPG (15:31, 29 maj 2012) do (19:12, 29 mar 2012) File:Władysław Terlecki grób.JPG i dodałem brakujące do plWiki. Przy okazji zauważyłem, że część z tych osób powinna mieć własne kategorie na Commons, ponieważ są załadowane co najmnie dwa zdjęcia z nimi związane. Nazwiska tych osób to:

• Ewa Sałacka
• Teresa Walewska Przyjałkowska
• Natalia Januszko
• Dariusz Michałowski
• Emanuel Kania
• Ryszard Rumianek
• Władysław Cholewa
• Tadeusz Nawrocki

Czy mógłbyś stworzyć dla nich na Commons kategorie, podobnie jak zrobiłem to dla Aleksandra Dębskiego? Pliki znajdziesz po nazwiskach w wyszukiwarce. Poproszę Cię też o dodanie linka do plWiki i krótkiego opisu. Daj znać, jak już się z tym uporasz, to powstawiam na {{commonscaty}} na polskiej Wiki.

Jest jeszcze jedna sprawa – na plWiki są trzy hasła dotyczące osoby Wiesław Chrzanowski:

• pl:Wiesław_Chrzanowski_(inżynier)
• pl:Wiesław_Chrzanowski_(powstaniec)
• pl:Wiesław Chrzanowski (polityk)

z czego dwa zawierają Twoje zdjęcie File:Wiesław Chrzanowski grób.JPG. Chciałbym, żebyś się zorientował, którego z nich nagrobek sfotografowałeś. Niestety nie widać daty na tabliczce, może masz inne zdjęcie na którym można to sprawdzić? Moim zdaniem jest to nagrobek tego, który zmarł w 29 kwietnia 2012, bo zdjęcie zrobiłeś 8 maja i widać jeszcze świeże kwiaty). -- Pozdrawiam, CLI (talk) 14:50, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Przejrzałem i pododawałem do pliku Stanisław Mikke grób.JPG (21:57, 10 mar 2012). No stary, narobiłeś trochę tych zdjęć, dobra robota. ;) Przy okazji kilka kolejnych spostrzeżeń:

• • W hasłe pl:Franciszek Mazur na Wiki i na zdjęciu File:Franciszek Mazur grób.JPG daty narodzin i zgonu znacznie się różnią - nie byłem w stanie na szybko znaleźć w Google odpowiedzi, kto ma rację - może Tobie się uda?
  • Hasło pl:Leon Dubicki na plWiki jest w kategorii "Pochowani na Cmentarzu Wojskowym", a Twoje zdjęcie File:Leon Dubicki grób.JPG jest opisane, że na Starych Powązkach - nie wiem, która wersja jest poprawna.
  • Przy okazji wpadłem na pomysł, żeby do nowowgrywanych plików dodawać kategorie dotyczące narodzin i zgonu, tak jak zrobiłem to tu File:Janusz Brych grób.JPG

Wrzuciłem kolejne pliki. Jeśli będziesz uzupełniał fotki w takim tempie, to szybko skończymy projekt. ;) Przy okazji kilka uwag:

• • • W pliku File:Henryk Fitz grób.JPG jest bardzo słabo widoczne nazwisko z boku krzyża i data, która nie zgadza się z pl:Henryk Fitz – nie wstawiam do czasu wyjaśnienia.
    • Zauważyłem, że na wszystkich dodanych dzisiaj zdjęciach ISO aparatu miałeś ustawione na 400. Wysoko, przez to pojawiają się duże szumy, które aparat koryguje rozmazując obrazek. Jeśli to możliwe, trzymaj się jak najniższych ISO, np. 100, wyższych używaj tylko wtedy, gdy jest ciemno i zdjęcia wychodzą poruszone.
    • Zwróć uwagę, że kategoria Category:Cmentarz Wojskowy na Powązkach została przeniesiona do Category:Military Cemetery in Warsaw. Zmarłych najlepiej kategoryzować chyba alfabetycznie wg kategorii zawartych w Category:Buried at the Military Cemetery in Warsaw in alphabetical order.
    • Na zdjęciu File:Dora i Samuel Malko grób.JPG widać bardzo wyraźnie cień fotografa – dodałem do plWiki, ale myślę, że tę fotkę trzeba powtórzyć.
    • W kilku przypadkach (np. File:Ignacy_Blum_grób.JPG, File:Jakub Węgierko grób.JPG i File:Halina Rudnicka grób.JPG) tabliczka jest bardzo mało czytelna. Możliwe, że to przez wysokie ISO. W takich wypadkach dobrze chyba byłoby robić oprócz ogólnego zdjęcia nagrobka także zbliżenie tabliczki.

Chyba lepiej stworzyć jakąś oddzielną listę, niż dodawać pozycje do tych stworzonych przez MastiBota. Ja za kilka dni znów poproszę Mastiego o uaktualnienie list i wtedy Twoje wpisy znikną. -- CLI (talk) 21:11, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

Hej. Hiuppo dodał większość Twoich nowych plików, także niewiele mi zostało do zrobienia. ;) Przejrzałem je i zrobiłem poprawiłem kilka literówek w nazwach plików.

• • • • Zgłosiłem zdjęcia File:Czesław Tomasik grób2.JPG do usunięcia, bo załadowałeś już lepszą, ostrą wersję tego nagrobka
      • Usunąłem fotkę File:Jan_Chodorowski_grób.JPG z hasła pl:Jan_Chodorowski i zmieniłem jej nazwę na File:Antoni_Chodorowski_grób.JPG, zgodnie z napisem na nagrobku.
      • Przy okazji - próbowałeś używać do ładowania plików tego narzędzia? Bardzo ułatwia ładowanie wielu plików jednocześnie. ;)

Czesc. Musze przyznac że wykonales bardzo duzą prace publikujac tak wiele zdjec:) Kilka z nich pokategoryzowalem, postaram sie tez zerknac te ktore mi przekazales aby dodac do wikipedii. Uwazam tez ze najlepiej aby kategoryzowaniem ich zajela sie osoba znajaca lepiej Warszawe, ktora kojarzy osoby pochowane itd. Dobrze byloby tez tworzyc osobne kategorie w commons - tak jak to zrobilem przed chwilą dla kilku ofiar katastrofy smoleńskiej (np. Category:Stanisław Mikke). Wtedy wszystko jest przejrzyste bo twoje zdjecie grobu jest w kategorii cmentarza oraz w kategorii danej osoby. Trzeba wiec najlepiej stworzyc takie kategorie osobowe - dla przykladu - Tadeusz Peiper. Jest jego zdjecie w wikipedii, jest zdjecie grobu twojego autorstwa i dobrze byloby stworzyc kategorię Category:Tadeusz Peiper. DZIEKI !! Teraz obraz pomnika jest pełniejszy. Mam jeszcze prosbę do Ciebie odnośnie kategoryzowania zdjęć grobów. Jeśli publikujesz zdjecie grobu osoby z cmentarza wojskowego w Warszawie to niedodawaj już ogólnej kategorii Category:Military Cemetery in Warsaw, ale przyporządkowuj konkretnie do podkategorii literowych, czyli przykładowo: Category:Warsaw Military Cemetery - S|Skrzypek Sławomir (a więc w każdym przypadku wstawiaj tam literę nazwiska i nastepnie rozrzerzenie nazwisko i imię). Wtedy zdjęcie trafia do podkategorii Category:Buried at the Military Cemetery in Warsaw in alphabetical order i tam do podkategorii pod daną literę. I wszystko jest przejrzyste. Dzisiaj rano skategoryzowałem tak wiele zdjęc i teraz w głównej kategorii Category:Military Cemetery in Warsaw pozostały tylko ogólne zdjęcia cmentarza oraz pomniki i mogiły zbiorowe. Natomiast wszystkie pojedyncze groby przesunąłem do podkategorii A-Z w Category:Buried at the Military Cemetery in Warsaw in alphabetical order‎. Łukasz ! Dopiero teraz zauważyłem ! Wystąpił nietypowy błąd ! To nie jest miesce pochówku tej aktorki "Klanu", tylko niejakiej Jadwigi Haliny Dobrowolskiej ! Data śmierci na nagrobku jest zupełnie inna (wyłania się 27 listopada) niż w haśle no i w witrynach filmowych (13 października 1999) ! Cześć! Gdy tworzysz nową kategorię dla osoby np. ostatnio Category:Maria Ginter, to nie dubluj tego faktu dodając kategorię Category:Maria Ginter do Category:Maria Ginter, bo jest to niepoprawne. Do takiej kategorii dodaje się nadkategorie typu zawód, rok urodzenia, śmierci itp. Podaję przykład Category:Tadeusz Peiper (wejdz sobie w edycję tej kategorii i spójrz co jest wymienione). Dodatkowo dodaje się odnośniki do artykulow w wikipediach według jezyków jezykowych. To konieczne bo inaczej przeszukując nadkategorie, np. nie odnajdzie się podkategorii osób ktore tak tworzysz. Na powiększeniu tego zdjęcia (File:Aleksander Wasiutyński Zbigniew Wasiutyński grób 02.JPG) widać dokładnie wszelkie dane. Czy mógłbyś jeszcze raz sprawdzić informacje odnośnie tego kto leży razem z Jeremim W. na zrobionym przez Ciebie zdjęciu? Grób generała Wacława Stachewicza

Witam, Umieściłeś zdjęcie grobu generała Wacława Stachewicza czy na pewno chodzi o tą osobę ? Generał zmarł w Montraealu w 1973 roku i tam został pochowany. Może to być grób symboliczny ale za PRLu chyba to niemożliwe. Jeżeli grób powstał po 1989 roku i jest to ekshumacja to też raczej niemożliwe. Nagrobek wygląda bardzo zaniedbany i raczej wiekowy. Faktycznie, też mnie to zaskoczyło. Z tego co jest mi wiadome, to prochy zostały po części pochowane i w Sanoku i w Warszawie. Położenie na wojskowych Powązkach to: kwatera B 29 KOL, rząd 1, miejsce 6. Nie jest to paląca sprawa, po prostu gdybyś kiedyś mógł, to proszę o zdjęcie. Pozdrawiam!
