First steps tutorial Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content). You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki. Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Na žádost uživatele Palu podotýkám: cesty k původním souborům jsou k dispozici na uživatelově stránce: User talk:Viki80 včetně rady, jak si dál počínat. Ke jménům souborů doporučuji přidat informaci: "fotografie, které nahrál uživatel Viki80 dne toho a toho...". Solar Life Cycle

Srdečně zdravím. Všiml jsem si, že jste vytvořil soubor File:Solar Life Cycle (cs).svg. Tento soubor však má již starší verzi, a sice File:Solar Life Cycle cs.svg. Domnívám se rovněž, že tato starší verze je lepší, neboť slovní spojení "postupné oteplování" není příliš obvyklé, hovoříme-li o nárůstu teploty hvězdy. Navrhuji proto jeho smazání. Co se týče termínu, tak mi přijde úplně jedno, který z nich tam bude, oba jsou stejně srozumitelné. Co se týče duplicity, pak jsem pro smazání. To, že soubor není správně odkazován z originálu, je důvod, proč jsem dělal zbytečnou práci. Tak to prosím napravte a příště správně odkazujte, abyste ušetřil práci ostatních. Pokud se dobře pamatuji, když jsem tento odvozený obrázek vkládal, tak mi to nabízelo, že odkaz do originálu vloží nějaký bot. Nevím, proč se tak nestalo. Přesto obrázek byl dohledatelný v kategorii, což jste mohl zkontrolovat, protože tam mohl být i jiný podobný, neodvozený z tohoto anglického originálu.

S ohledem na Vaši dikci typickou pro neomylné mě však nyní mrzí dvě věci. Můj původně zbytečně přívětivý tón i to, že jsem vás tu ze zbytečné zdvořilosti o úmyslu soubor smazat informoval.

Jako člověka pracujícího na encyklopedii by vám navíc rozhodně nemělo být jedno, jaké termíny používáte, měl byste používat termíny správné. Hvězda se prostě neotepluje. Prosím proto pro příště o větší jazykovou pečlivost, ať nejsme čtenářům pro smích.

Za svůj tón se omlouvám, nebylo to myšleno zle. Soubor jsem vytvořil v dobré víře rozšířit článek na Wikipedii a standardním způsobem (odkazem z "dalších verzí") nebyl Váš k dohledání. Rozhodně mi nemůžete mít za zlé, že jsem si nedohledal soubor nestandardně přes kategorie. Opravdu jsem nemohl čekat, že bude existovat. Co se týče "růst teploty" vs. "oteplování", tak vůbec nechápu, co by mělo být špatně, oba výrazy mají naprosto totožný význam. Přeju také úspěšný rok. Palu (talk) 00:25, 30 December 2010 (UTC)

Všiml jsem si toho taky. Bohužel ale tak daleko moje znalosti Inkscape nesahají. Problém je v tom, že jsem to přepsal v textovém editoru. Když jsem to zkoušel přes Inkscape, tak se mi uložil jiný výřez té světové mapy a nebylo na obrázku tím pádem vidět to, co má. Correction request

Hello.

In File:US and Russian bases and facilities.jpg, can you color Azerbaijan in white? Azerbaijan never hosted a US military base or US troops. Can you also color Georgia in blue? Georgia does not host a US military base or US troops. It only has Russian military bases in breakaway Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Can you also add the border of South Sudan? Both South Sudan and Sudan do not host any US or Russian military bases.
