Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Ich nehme an, es ist OK die inkorrekte PNG-Version zu löschen, nachdem ja nun eine korrekte SVG-Grafik existiert, oder? Mit dem Löschen von PNGs ist man auf Commons im Allgemeinen eben restriktiver als in der de-WP. --Leyo 11:20, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Hallo Roland, mir ist aufgefallen, dass du eine neue Version der Strukturformel hochgeladen hast. Ich habe die alte Version wiederhergestellt, weil die Datei mit Absicht auf diese Art und Weise und entsprechend den Richtlinien der Redaktion Chemie gezeichnet ist. Viele meiner Strukturformeln werden auch in anderen Projekten genutzt, z.B. bei wikibooks und sind in der Regel genau aufeinander abgestimmt (in diesem Fall vgl. die Box im Artikel de:Ribose und entsprechende Boxen der anderen Zuckerartikel). Hallo NEUROtiker, ist geschehen. Auch ich zeichne meine Strukturformeln nach WEIS, allerdings sind hier für perspektivische Zeichnungen keine Maßgaben aufgeführt, so dass z.B. Bindungen im Vordergrund nicht eindeutig spezifiziert sind, ebenso keine Winkel. Auch kommen Unterschiede dadurch zustande, dass unterschiedliche Auflösungen vorhanden sind. Hallo Roland, ich glaube, bei der Datei zur Konjugation sind Dir zwei Fehler unterlaufen: zumnächst sind die beiden Verbindungen A und B sowieso identisch, d. h. sie sollten von vornherein identische Kationen bilden, zum zweiten ist in den Verbindungen nicht Chlor als Substituent vorhanden, sondern eine Methylgruppe, somit würde der der Abgang von Cl^- auch keinen Sinn machen, obwohl im Text auf der Seite zur Konjugation in der Chemie dies so erklärt ist. Ich hoffe, ich liege hier nicht ganz falsch, ansonsten bitte ich Dich, den Fehler zu korrigieren.

Hallo. Die Darstellung der Reaktion in der Grafik stimmt zwar, allerdings sollte vielleicht die Schreibweise der einzelnen Strukturen angeglichen werden. Mal werden die gleichen Methylgruppen mit H3C, mal mit CH3 bezeichnet. Mal lässt man das CH2, an dem das Nucleophil angreift, weg (der Chemie-bewanderte erkennt es natürlich im Knick der Linie zwischen dem Nu und dem C-), mal schreibt man es hin.
