Merci d'avance. Cordialement, Jack ma (talk) 09:12, 3 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Using your picture of the Louvre's bust of Socrates edit

I am writing a chapter on leadership for search and rescue teams, wherein I talk about Socratic questioning as a method of mentoring. I will be using your picture of the Socrates bust. The chapter and textbook will be released under a Creative Commons license and you will be credited. Thank you!

France relief location map edit

Hello, Sting. I would like to use your France relief location map in my family history book entitled Rupert and Evelyn. I will add the locations where my grandfather served in World War I. I will give appropriate credit and attributions. Thank you very much.

Tectonic plates of Antarctica edit

Greetings Eric, I am doing some research for a book. Since I cannot afford to spend the summer in Antarctica, I am doing my research online and use others work as my reference. I may or may not use the plate drawings in the book. I will certainly credit for anything I will get from your work in the book. Plate tectonics is very interesting and I wish I had the time to delve more deeply into the subject. Unfortunately, I have to work for a living and just do not have the time. I do thank you for everything I plan to use that you have created. Sincerely Robert Michaels

Picture edit

Permission to use relief map of Costa Rica edit

Hello, I am a master's student studying two volcanoes in Costa Rica (Poás and Turrialba) and writing two papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals. I would like to include a map that shows the context of these two field sites. Would you permit me to use and modify your map for these papers if I include a credit in the caption of these figures? I would make the following modifications: add in labels for San José, Poás, and Turrialba and include two "zoom-in" photos showing the craters of Poás and Turrialba.

Thank you. Laura Grace Beckerman University of Colorado Boulder — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 98.247.86.35 (talk) 17:25, 28 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

1913 Colonial Map of Africa edit

Hi, Dropping a note to let you know I appreciate the map. It will be used in an educational book I'm putting together about the impact of colonialism on indigenous peoples. When I publish the book (self-publish, probably), I'll drop you a note so you can see how helpful the map was. I have not keyed the areas by color because the print book will be in black and white. I've approximately labeled the territories according to areas controlled. Have tied it to a (brief)discussion of the Berlin Conference of 1884-85, in which European powers carved up the continent. Thanks for the neat map. A. G. Moore — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.127.99.190 (talk) 04:53, 12 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Use of Aristotle Photo edit

Hi Sting,

I'm intending to use your photo of the Aristotle bust at the Louvre (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aristotle#/media/File:Aristoteles_Louvre.jpg) in a talk that I'm giving next month at the Python UK Users Conference (http://2016.pyconuk.org/talks/ancient-greek-philosophy-medieval-mental-models-and-21st-century-technology/).

Hope that's OK!

Bonjour,

je souhaiterais utiliser une partie du fond de carte suivant afin d'illustrer un article archéologique.

Cette référence est-elle suffisante?

Merci par avance.

I have made a derivative work of your file edit

Licensed under CC-BY-SA 4.0» ? Est-ce que vous préfériez que le lien indique votre page Wikipédia? Merci infiniment pour le travail que vous avez fait!
Hi Sting! I hope you are well. I have used File:France_location_map-Regions_and_departements-2015.svg to create an Anki deck for study. I have not yet published it for others to use, but I plan to do so. I wanted to ask you how you would prefer to be credited. How is: "Map credit: Wikimedia Commons users Eric Gaba & Otourly. Licensed under CC-BY-SA 4.0" ? Thank you for your fantastic work! Storkk (talk) 12:40, 13 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Using your dymaxion map for a gondwana reconstruction activity edit

Hi Sting, I'm making an educational activity about Gondwana, and I'm going to use some bits from your dymaxion maps to do it. You cut out all the southern continents, and then try to fit them together.

I'm still working on the files, but I want to know if this credit is okay:

Adapted from a map by Eric Gaba – Wikimedia Commons user: Sting
This file is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 2.5 Generic license.

It will be a print-out, so I don't think I can do hyperlinks.

Hope this is okay, David Shaw Shaw.David (talk) 05:44, 25 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello David. Thank for the information about the use of the map. The credits are fine. Sting (talk) 19:11, 26 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
