Hello, Zoram.hakaan!

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

This media file is missing evidence of permission. It may have an author and a source, but there is no proof that the author agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide evidence of permission by either providing a link to a site with an explicit release under a free license or by sending a declaration of consent to confirm copyright ownership by email. This also applies if you are the author yourself.

Unless this issue is resolved, the file will be deleted seven days after this tag was added and the uploader was notified on 24 February 2012.

Usage of this tag: For categorisation purposes, always use . If you didn't use an automated tool, notify the uploader by using:

~~~~
Éste indica que no hay información sobre el permiso que dio el dueño de tal imagen para subirla a Wikimedia Commons (Osea: ¿Cuándo y dónde dijo el dueño que podías subirla?). Para resolver eso sugeriría lo siguiente:
 1. Que en la misma página de Panoramio, el autor (Neftali Reyes) hiciera un comentario como «Doy mi permiso para que esta imagen se publique en la Fundación Wikimedia bajo la misma licencia, Creative Commons 3.0 Atribución-NoComercial-NoDerivados (CC BY-NC-ND 3.0)». (Nota: se puede una o más licencias a la vez, se usará la más conveniente para cada caso.)
 2. Una vez hecho este comentario, en la página de descripción de la imagen, editas y dentro de la plantilla en la sección |Permission agregas el enlace a tal permiso (en el ejemplo que puse sería ).
 3. Al final de la página de la imagen, agraga la plantilla , para que de este modo alguien calificado verifique el permiso y retiro el aviso que mencioné al principio (el aviso de eliminación).
Listo, no habrá problema alguno con el uso de la imagen en cualquier proyecto de la Fundación Wikimedia. Si sientes que es muy complicado puedo pedirle al Neftali Reyes que escriba ese comentario y yo realizo los cambios necesarios aquí en Wikimedia Commons. ¿Qué opinas?
Ya le he enviado un mensaje al autor de la foto (Neftali Reyes). Por lo pronto habrá que esperar la respuesta. Cualquier asunto te mantendré informando. Muchas gracias por tu ayuda. --Nah90 (talk) 17:08, 25 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
El autor ha optado escribir un comentario autorizando la utilización de su imagen. Me surge una duda, al colocar la plantilla , repite el aviso que la imagen ya tenía, ¿está bien que la imagen con dos avisos similares?. --Nah90 (talk) 18:25, 27 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Revisé bien y no es necesario, de hecho se puede retirar esa plantilla. Edita la página de la imagen, agrega el enlace al permiso y retira donde dice al principio de la página del código. Saludos. Fin del comunicado -   Zóram Úho Hákān Dar comunicado 21:32, 27 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
¡Muchísimas gracias por tu ayuda! Sinceramente, estaba muy perdido sobre los pasos a seguir. Un gran saludo. --Nah90 (talk) 22:38, 28 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2015 is open! edit
You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2015 Picture of the Year contest.
Dear Zoram.hakaan,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2015 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the tenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2015) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1322 candidate images. There are 56 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category. In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.
Round 2 will end on 28 May 2016, 23:59:59 UTC.
File:Blasón de Arturo D. Castillo.svg edit
File:Blasón de Arturo D. Castillo.svg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
