English: André Le Nôtre (March 12, 1613 - September 15, 1700) was a landscape architect and the gardener of king Louis XIV of France from 1645 to 1700. He was most notably responsible for the construction of the park of the Palace of Versailles.
Français : André Le Nôtre (Paris, 12 mars 1613 - 1700) fut jardinier du roi Louis XIV de 1645 à 1700 et eut notamment pour tâche de concevoir l'aménagement du parc du palais de Versailles, mais aussi celui de Vaux-le-Vicomte. Il était un très fameux courtisan et réussit à se lier d'amitié avec Louis XIV. Il était l'auteur des plans de nombreux jardins à la française
