Anna Ancher

Danish impressionist painter (1859-1935)

English: Anna Kirstine Brøndum Ancher (August 18, 1859 - April 15, 1935), was the only one of the Skagen Painters that was actually born in Skagen, Denmark. She studied drawing in Copenhagen, and in Paris at the atelier of Pierre Puvis de Chavannes. She was married to fellow painter Michael Ancher.
