Aung San
Burmese revolutionary leader (1915-1947)
Aung San (born February 13 1915, died July 19 1947) was a Burmese soldier and statesman who became the architect of Burmese independence, though he was assassinated six months before independence was achieved. He is the father of Burmese pro-democracy icon Aung San Suu Kyi.
