English: The house located at 3053 P Street NW (also known as 1501 31st Street NW) in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., was built in 1876 for businessman John Libby and is a contributing property to the Georgetown Historic District. Previous occupants include Rear Admiral Neill Phillips. Joseph P. Kennedy Sr. and Rose Kennedy rented the house when their son, President John F. Kennedy, was inaugurated. The film St. Elmo's Fire filmed scenes outside the house.
