Third Sculpture International was an exhibition of contemporary sculpture held at the Philadelphia Museum of Art from May 15 to September 11, 1949. It was mounted inside the museum's Great Hall and outdoors on its East Terrace. At least 230 sculptors from 13 countries participated, and exhibited 412 works.[1] Life Magazine called it "the world's biggest sculpture show."[2] About 250,000 people attended the exhibition over its four-month run.[3]
