Category:Agbamevoza

The Agbamevoza (other spelling: Agbamekevor Za) is one of the annual Kente festivals in Ghana. The Agbamevoza takes place since 1995 each year end of August/begin of September in Agotime-Kpetoe, the administrative capital of the contemporary Agotime-Ziope District in the Volta Region of Ghana. Kpetoe is located in the traditional area of the Agotime-Ewe at the bottom of the Agu montain, the holy "mountain of the gods" of the Ewe people. The basic content of this festival is it after own description to give a thank-you-gift for the Kente-weavers, a traditional craft of that area.
